KINDERGARTEN: HANDWRITING

Handwriting involves visual and fine motor skills. Formation of each letter is introduced in an alphabetical sequence. Students are taught to position their papers and hold their pencils correctly. Lessons are taught on lesson formation, aligning letters on lines, letter size, and spacing. The goal of the Handwriting program is legibility.

Objectives:
          Students will learn to form the following:

• Left to right lines
• Top to bottom lines
• Forward and Backward Circles
• Left and Right Slants
• Uppercase and Lowercase Letters
• Numerals
