3RD TERM PROJECT FOR WORLD HISTORY

DUE MONDAY, FEBRUARY 20. 2006

 

YOUR 3RD TERM PROJECT WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:

  1. EACH STUDENT WILL BE GIVEN A LESSON TO TEACH

HIS/HER FELLOW STUDENTS
 

  1. EACH STUDENT WILL READ THE TEXT BOOK LESSON THEY

ARE ASSIGNED AND PLAN AND ORGANIZE A LESSON PLAN
WHICH WILL HELP THEM TEACH THE MATERIAL INCLUDED
IN THAT LESSON.
     

  1. A LESSON PLAN IS A WRITTEN “PLAN OF ACTION” WHICH TELLS

THE TEACHER WHAT METHODS AND MATERIALS THE TEACHER
WILL USE TO MAKE CERTAIN THAT THE CLASS UNDERSTANDS
THE LESSON.

 

  1. AS THE “STUDENT TEACHER” YOU MAY INCORPORATE ANY VISUAL,

WRITTEN AND ORAL INFORMATON IN YOUR PRESENTATION.

      5.   TO MAKE SURE THAT YOUR STUDENTS UNDERSTAND YOUR              
PRESENTATION, YOU SHOULD DEVISE A  RE-TEACHING TOOL.
THIS CAN BE IN THE FORM OF A QUESTION AND ANSWER SHEET,
OR A GRAPHIC ORGANIZER SHEET THAT EXPLAINS THE MOST
IMPORTANT FACTS AND CONCEPTS THAT YOU TAUGHT.
      

  1. WHILE THE CLASS WILL HAVE READ THE LESSON YOU ARE

TEACHING BEFORE YOUR PRESENTATION, HOW YOU PRESENT
THIS SAME INFORMATION WILL ANSWER MANY QUESTIONS THEY
MAY HAVE HAD DURING THEIR READING.

  1. YOUR GRADE FOR THIS PROJECT WILL BE PARTLY BASED UPON

HOW EFFECTIVE YOU WERE IN YOUR PRESENTATION, AND PARTLY
HOW WELL YOU UNDERSTOOD THE LESSON’S FOCUS AND INTENT.
