Upper School - Academics
The Upper School Program of the Batt Private School includes a full academic program for students in grades 9 through 12. The curriculum of the Upper School is based upon high academic standards and is designed to meet the unique needs of adolescent learners. The Upper School Program develops students’ skills, knowledge, and attitudes by engaging them in a challenging program of studies. We provide the foundation for our students to become effective, lifelong learners.
While future leaders are molded by self-discipline and appreciation of the value of hard work, they should also experience the joy of learning. We believe that our school can have high academic standards, encourage a strong work ethic and yet be a place where students want to be. We believe that students can be challenged without being pressured. Students with highly developed skills and adult support can succeed in school and still enjoy their teen-age years. A full course load should not exclude participation on the Wellington horse circuit. A student should be able to take A.P. Calculus and also enjoy surfing or competitive gymnastics. We strive to make this possible. |
